Rosalie M. Jacobs, M.Ed, BCIAC

For the past twenty-one years, Rosalie M. Jacobs, M.Ed., BCIAC, assisted her clients to achieve wellness, and made it possible for them to wean off medications, which have been known to be toxic to their systems. Even though the medication they may be taking, may arrest one symptom, it may leave the patient with other damaging side effects and symptoms which then may result in more suffering for the patient, not to mention an increase in stress and anxiety for the client as well.

Rosalie Jacobs, M.Ed., BCIAC incorporates Biofeedback Therapy in her treatment plan to be used in conjunction with Supportive Psychotherapy, while educating the client about his/her basic anatomy. Ms. Jacobs states, “ It is amazing how each individual owns their own body out right, yet so many human beings know little about their bodies and how they work. Many people in today’s society know more about operating the electronics, computers and automobiles which they own or lease for only a few years, and know very little about how to care for their minds and bodies which belong to them for their entire lifetime.”   “ Education plays a major role in the healing process. The more a client understands how his/her body works, the more they are able to take control and manage their symptoms.”

In recent years, Ms. Jacobs has specialized in treating children and adolescents who suffer from anxiety, fears/phobias, and who lack self-confidence and self-esteem. With Ms. Jacobs expertise with employing behavioral techniques and skills she has been able to keep young client’s off the medication treatment path for treating anxiety and depression, which when administered, can cause unpleasant side effects for children as well as adults.

Rosalie Jacobs, M.Ed., BCIAC is the recent Past President of The Pennsylvania Society of Behavioral Medicine and Biofeedback and continues to take an active role on the board as conference coordinator.
